Our Story

Cornerstone for Concrete Roses was born from a simple but powerful truth: beauty, strength, and success can emerge from the hardest of circumstances.

Growing through concrete

Legal Status
Cornerstone for Concrete Roses LLC
Established March 23, 2026.
Based in the State of Tennessee, serving the Memphis and Nashville areas.

A concrete rose defies what seems possible. It doesn't wait for perfect soil, perfect weather, or perfect conditions. It grows in spite of the cracks in the pavement, the tough adversity, and constant doubt. This experience is a shared experience of many young people in our communities.

"Your location is NOT a limitation." – Tupac Moseley

Cornerstone for Concrete Roses was founded to stand beside students who are doing the hard work of building a future against the odds. We believe that every young person deserves access to the tools, mentors, resources, and community they need to succeed.

We work with high school seniors and college students, meeting them where they are with the goal to invest holistically. That means financial support, mentorship, career guidance, academic support, life resources, and a community that shows up.

For its first phase, Cornerstone for Concrete Roses will primarily focus on providing scholarship opportunities to college-bound seniors and providing any needed guidance throughout their collegiate matriculation.

Mission. Vision. Commitment.

The people behind the mission

Tupac S. Moseley

Founder & Owner

Tupac was proudly born and raised in Memphis, TN — the Bluff City of the South. Throughout his childhood, he resided in the Raleigh area and solely attended & graduated from the campus of schools that hosted Egypt Elementary, Raleigh-Egypt Middle, and Raleigh-Egypt High School. During his time at Raleigh-Egypt, he was surrounded by peers with amazing talent and potential, as well truly supportive faculty, staff, and community members that several now consider family. Also during his time, however, he experienced the pressures of life from different angles, including the suggestions to transfer to a "better" school from harsh critics of Raleigh-Egypt, the early & tragic passing of his father during sophomore year, and a period of homelessness following the eviction from his family's home due to financial insecurity.

Through the combination of the unyielding support from his village at Raleigh-Egypt & its supporters, and his determination to push forward, Tupac was able to secure scholarship funding and attend Tennessee State University (TSU), the only public HBCU in the state of Tennessee. He graduated from TSU with a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, and then, with the assistance of housing, mentorship, and overall support from one of his professors, he was also able to graduate with a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and now works as an Operations Engineer.

Tupac recognizes that the complete trajectory of his life was shifted from having access to an amazing, supportive community, scholarship funding, career opportunities, life guidance, and most vitally, the mindset to humbly accept & take advantage of these opportunities. He founded Cornerstone for Concrete Roses to hopefully replicate what he personally experienced for others as they transistion into early success in their lives by tapping into their unbounded potential.
